Whether or not one agrees with his position on health care reform, Alan Grayson made a heck of a case on the floor of the House yesterday; He also played Republican games with Republicans, by pointing out a Harvard Study that supports the idea that over 40,000 Americans die each year becuase of lack of health care (without going into much detail about the circumstances.) He then pointed out how Republicans asked him to “apologize,” and he insisted several times that he would not, because the study is somethng that should be covered.

In fact, what they were upset about was his presentation, at the same time, that the Republicans health care plan was to “a) not get sick, b) if you do get sick, c) die quickly.”

This riled some feathers, which is odd coming from the party which has many of its leaders concurrently accusing the Democrats of wanting to “kill grandma” (which we actually think is an even more manipulative statement).  But then again, Republicans are not so used to Democrats just not simply rolling over and allowing their opponents to define and frame the debate, as they otherwise often do.

So, is Grayson “behaving like a Republican”?

Grayson has an answer for that, too:

Well, unless you are better at it then they are. Or at least in the same ball park at as they are, and have more of the facts on your side.
